On Tuesday night Stacey, Mary-Kay and myself all headed down to the movie theatre to check out "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2".
I read the first book when it came out and even though it is for a younger audience I was able to connect with the characters. I had no idea there were other books in the series otherwise I would have read those as well.
There are a total of four books in the STP series:
- The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
- The Second Summer of the Sisterhood
- Girls in Pants
- Forever in Blue
It is from the last three books that the second movie is made from.
If you are a fan of the author or enjoyed the first movie...I highly recommend seeing the second film.
*On a side note: The author, Ann Brashares just wrote her first adult novel. It sounds interesting and seems to be getting some good ratings. It is titled, "The Last Summer (of You and Me)".

Glad you enjoyed the movie! I haven't read any of these books yet, but I'm sure I'd like them. I've also heard good reviews for "The Last Summer (of You and Me)".
I enjoyed the first movie a great deal. It is getting to be very expensive to go out to the moviehouse these days, so unless it is a very special one, I wait for the DVD (we just recently got a new tv after 25 years and we have only one in the house). Thanks for the review.
Also meant to say...Amber Tamblyn~how I adored her in "Joan Of Arcadia". I still miss that show. It was wonderful.
