She's Crafty!

col·lage

1. a technique of composing a work of art by pasting on a single surface various materials not normally associated with one another, as newspaper clippings, parts of photographs, theater tickets, and fragments of an envelope.

Since I have been in a knitting slump lately. I have decided to return to some of my other favorite things to do like reading and collage work. The two pieces you see below are for an Artist Trading Card swap I did. They are super fun to do. If you want more info on how to make your own click here.

Hey, that is really neat! It looks complicated, but cool. I used to work at a rubber stamp company and the person who was a teacher/author was always trying to get me into doing it. I would go to her friends house and everyone would be making paper, stamping... and I would show up with my yarn. I was a yarnie in the 90's and my buddies would laugh. They are probably laughing still.

Those are both way cool. I love the one with scrabble tiles. I haven't tried a collage type ATC yet. They looks so hard to me.
